A new 4-H project club has started in Franklin County!
The STEM Project Club is focused on engaging students with STEM projects. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. Students interested in any of these areas can have a great time learning these disciplines while building cool projects.
Our first project is building an ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) to navigate an underwater obstacle course. We will be entering our ROV in state, and possibly national, competition through the SeaPerch Challenge.
This project is what stirred interest in forming the STEM Project Club so things are moving quickly in preparation for this competition. Students must be registered members of Franklin County 4-H to participate in the project and competition.
Registration deadline for the competition is March 31st, so hurry to take part in this exciting project.
The STEM Project Club will continue to develop new projects and activities for youth, so join the club and get involved.
